Four Sixteen

A cybersecurity blog covering random tidbits and techniques to compromise various systems.

This blog is for sharing the things I've done and my techniques. Hopefully they are useful to somebody.

I am a cyber security researcher, OSINT practitioner, and programmer. I have the CompTIA Sec+. I know how to use Kali, Ubuntu, Metasploit, bash, python, javascript, and so on. I write my own tools more often. I've won more of the CTF events that I've participated in than I have lost.

Cybersecurity (hacking) does not have to be complicated. It is mostly a matter of using the same technology everyone else has but in ways they've taught themselves not to think about.

Hacking can legally only be done on devices that you yourself own or that you have written permission to hack. Therefore I maintain my own home lab of devices to safely break machines and test the exploits I create.

On the home lab network, I run several old Thinkpads that I have collected over the years, plus various Acer notepads or other cheap devices. Everything - aside from USBs, SSDs, and other storage devices - is refurbished or obtained from give-away sales or second-hand shops like from Ebay. There is no fancy hardware here.

If you are interested in what I do, don't be shy about reaching out.
